Venezuela ratifies willingness to a national and international dialogue to settle differences

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed on Wednesday before the United Nations Organization (UN) that he would be willing to dialogue with different governments of the region, especially with the government of the United States, as well as with sectors of the Venezuelan opposition, in order to settle differences and achieve peace:

“Despite the abysmal differences, I would be willing to shake hands with the President of the United States and sit down to talk about the issues of bilateral differences and the affairs of the region”, he said during the 73rd UN General Assembly. in New York, United States.

He stressed that Venezuela is a nation of a peaceful tradition, which seeks dialogue and understanding for the solution of problems and differences:

“It is those who have differences in the world who have to dialogue. President Donald Trump has said he is concerned about Venezuela and wants to help, well, I am willing to talk with an open agenda about everything the US Government may want to talk about”, he said.

The Venezuelan president said that “Venezuela, as the president of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries, hoists the flags of a dialogue of civilizations; promotes and permanently practices international political dialogue through peaceful uses, dialogue, understanding, politics, and not violence”.

He ratified the will to establish an international and national dialogue: “I know that there is a government that is interested in peace with sovereignty, independence and justice in Venezuela; I open my arms to all those who want to help us respecting the sovereignty of the country, without intervening in internal affairs”, he emphasized.
