PSUV condemned Almagro’s interventionist statements

The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) condemned on Monday the interventionist statements made last week by the Secretary General of the Organization of American States, Luis Almagro, who promoted a military intervention against Bolívar’s Homeland:

“We welcome the international solidarity that has been pronounced categorically, and rejecting what has been the unfortunate statements by Luis Almagro”, said Victor Clark, a member of the PSUV national leadership.

He informed that in rejection of these statements, and in defense of the sovereignty of Venezuela, the PSUV militants will be deployed in Guárico, Anzoátegui, Bolívar and Cojedes states in order to reiterate the rejection of any foreign interference:

“We will be mobilized in the streets to strongly reject these interfering actions and the infamous and unhappy actions of the Secretary General of the Organization of American States, Luis Almagro, who is a preacher of warmongering actions and military interventionism. They will not be able to defeat Venezuela, which will win in all areas, we are a sovereign Republic”, he said.

He stressed that neither Almagro nor the international body he represents “fulfill the task of defending international law” and added that before the imperialist onslaught, the Bolivarian Revolution and the National Government have “received the solidarity of numerous nations.”
