This Tuesday, the sectoral vice president for Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, and the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Jorge Arreaza, held a meeting with the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Organization for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Mark Lowcock, in order to empower the country in that matter.
During the meeting, held at the Casa Amarilla (Yellow House, seat of the Venezuelan Chancellory), in Caracas, the authorities carried out a review of the different information systems and proposed a work agenda for the coming months, as refers a press release from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
During his work visit to Venezuela, the OCHA Under-Secretary-General, Mark Lowcock, plans to meet with various political actors in the country; with representatives of non-governmental organizations and also of the diplomatic community, to learn first hand the truth about Venezuela and to verify the work done by the different UN agencies operating in the country.
At the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, held in New York, USA, Chancellor Jorge Arreaza, also held a meeting with the Deputy Secretary where he ratified the will of the Bolivarian Government to maintain the path of dialogue to consolidate national peace.
