Cabello: No excuses! Agreed prices must be respected

Diosdado Cabello, the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), emphasized on Wednesday that agreed prices must be respected, and calls on the Venezuelan people to denounce the speculators.

“The agreed prices must be respected and you have no excuses, gentlemen producers. There is a sufficient margin of profit (…) The people must be on the streets and is the perfect antidote to end the speculators”, he said during his weekly program “Con el Mazo Dando” (Hitting with the Hammer).

He warned that if a merchant comes to raise prices, the people is the one who must report it and call the authorities, to enforce the agreed prices:

“If the SUNDEE comes and puts them a fine, who will they make pay the fine? The people. The only way they understand is to be put in jail”, he said.

Cabello also highlighted that the Venezuelan people successfully took on the new economic measures implemented by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

“The people has a lot of wisdom. One already sees the smile on the faces of the People who were already desperate with the economic war”, he said.
