Representative of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Blanca Eekhout, denounced that the United States and the media power have a systematic and ongoing campaign against Venezuela.
When interviewed in the “Kiosko Veraz” (The Truthful Kiosk) program, broadcast by VTV, she said that the international media have a smear campaign against the National Government since 17 years ago, and which, as she assured, has accentuated from 2013 to date.
“Imperialism and the mass-media power have a defined line, orchestrated worldwide, they are quite articulated,” she warned.
He noted that in the case of the Spanish media, for example, they speak “day and night” about the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, and manipulate regarding the situation of Venezuela.
On the other hand, the former parliament member denounced that the current directorate of the National Assembly (AN) curtails the right to information of the people’s and community media.
“They have beaten them, they have not only closed doors and prevented them from effectively exercise the right to communicate, but also have been attacked violently and in a systematic manner in order to prevent their access” she denounced.
