Venezuela expresses its regret over vehicular accident in Ecuador

Venezuela expressed its regret over the multiple vehicular accident that occurred in Ecuador through a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry of the Republic.

“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its deepest regret over the vehicular accident that occurred on the Pifo – Papallacta road in the province of Pichincha, Ecuador, in which up to now 24 people have been confirmed dead, including four citizens of Venezuelan nationality . Additionally, official sources from Ecuador reported a balance of 22 people injured, two of them nationals.

Our Diplomatic Mission in Ecuador is deployed providing the necessary consular support to our brothers and sisters affected by this tragic event.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the Venezuelan victims and of other nationalities, especially of the Colombian brothers who suffered the greatest amount of human losses in the unfortunate event. “
