This Tuesday took place the 2nd Meeting for a World Social Alternative at the Simón Bolívar Hall of the Simón Bolívar Theater in Caracas, led by the executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas-Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), Jorge Arreaza.
In that sense, Arreaza highlighted that in the Bolivarian Alliance, plus Honduras, “we are committed to making this project of the World Social Alternative a reality. It is necessary that we reach a minimum agreement in areas necessary to develop collectively, in the world, which can cause us to take great steps together at the pace of the one that needs the most from the rest.»
It is worth noting that this meeting took place on July 23 and 24. This Tuesday, at 9 in the morning, the opening ceremony was held, then at 9:30 was held the 1st Panel: Communication and resistance, in which was discussed the role of the media in current geopolitics.
At 11:00 a.m. m., a plenary session was held to debate this topic, and then at 2:30 in the afternoon we went to Panel II: Alternative for Self-Determination and at 4 p.m. m, Panel III, which will talk about the Alternative for people’s rights and reparations.
On the other hand, this Wednesday, July 24, took place at 10 in the morning, the 4th Panel: Alternative for unalterable peace. At 11:30 a.m. the 5th Panel: Alternative for economic justice. At 2:30 p.m. m., the 6th Panel: Alternative for justice in politics and at 4 pm the final panel and closing of this meeting.
