The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, recalled that on Thursday, July 5, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces Day is celebrated, for which he expressed his gratitude to the men and women who, with dignity, loyalty and commitment, have continued the path undertaken by our liberators 207 years ago.
This was stated by the Head of State, from his official account on the Twitter social network. On July 5 is celebrated the day of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces of Venezuela as an armed anti-imperialist corps according to the glorious legacy of the Liberator Simón Bolívar and the national heroes of the Republic.
A celebration that is framed in the memory of July 5, 1811, when representatives of seven provinces of the country united to end the prevailing political process and break with the Spanish monarchy, thus signing the Declaration of Independence Act of Venezuela.
In another message, President Maduro said: «Venezuela needs a powerful military force to persuade imperialism and its interests, those who claim our riches».
