National Constituent Assembly thanked Cuba for its support to the Venezuelan people

The Chairwoman of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), Delcy Rodríguez, on Wednesday thanked the Government of Cuba for all its support to the Venezuelan people and referred in a special way to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, who together with the Commander, Hugo Chávez , was in charge of strengthening the relationship between both nations.

During her participation in a solemn session held at the Federal Legislative Palace in Caracas, regarding the visit of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, Rodríguez referred to Cuba’s support in moments of national and international attacks against Venezuela.

Rodríguez also highlighted the support that the people of Venezuela has received in health matters through the Barrio Adentro Mission, which has been operating in the country since 2003 with the collaboration of Cuban doctors.

“They are the example of the new humanity. They are the example that another man is possible, that another woman is possible, supportive, loving and that he is there whenever the people of Venezuela have needed him. You are the soul of this binational cooperation between the people of Cuba and the people of Venezuela”, she said.

Díaz-Canel arrived in the country on Wednesday morning on his first visit abroad since he was elected as President of the Council of State of Cuba, on April 19.
