FANB reaffirms its commitment to peace and sovereignty on May 20

The Minister of People’s Power for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, said on Tuesday that there is nothing better for the spirit of a soldier than to see the people exercising their political right to vote, so every time there are electoral events the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) celebrates it.

From the Paseo Los Próceres (Heroes Stroll), in Caracas, where was carried out the act of deploying the Republic Plan, heading for the presidential elections on May 20, the high official reaffirmed his commitment to the principles of the democratic exercise of the vote, as a mechanism to promote tolerance and curb actions against the stability of Venezuela.

“I’m sure it’s the feeling of all the soldiers of the FANB. This citizen will go out to exercise his suffrage for our independence, for national peace, for democracy, for the strengthening of our country, for tolerance, for opening doors to peace and national unity, against imperialism, against invasion and against any intention to suffocate Venezuela, there are enough reasons to go out and vote”, he said.

The activity was attended by the representatives of the military high command, together with the president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Tibisay Lucena, the Minister for Internal Affairs, Justice and Peace, Néstor Reverol, and the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab.
