«That operation was a blow to the criminal hands. To those who have their hands stained with corruption and steal our country’s ticket, (…). This has been possible thanks to the deployment of the «Manos de Papel» (Paper Hands) operation, with which he has seized important sums of cash that they were trying to take to Colombia».
He also emphasized that: «we are going to capture 112 more people (…). Already a total of 1,123 accounts were blocked because of their relationship with these mafias. The investigations show a direct link between the citizens involved in this fact, and the citizen who owns the DolarPro website, Carlos Eduardo Marrón Colmenar.
The Vice President affirmed that 90 percent of the blocked accounts belong to the Banesco financial institution, for which the National Executive has instructed the Superintendency of Banking Sector Institutions (Sudeban) and the Financial Intelligence Unit to determine the responsibility of said bank in transactions that commit this type of crime.
Similarly announced that: «we will continue to deepen the investigation. Already our agencies are raiding 596 companies in the country», likewise to finish, he added: «The president of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, protects the criminal organizations that are behind the boycott and continued aggression that is carried out as part of the economic war against the people and the Venezuelan currency».
