TSJ will raise proposals to the ANC to strengthen the Constitution

Representatives of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) met Wednesday with the Permanent Commission of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) in order to create a communication channel that allows the Supreme Court to raise proposals before the constituent process.

In this meeting, the first vice president of the TSJ, Indira Izaguirre; the second vice-president, Juan José Mendoza, who were accompanied by several magistrates, met with the Chairman of the Permanent Commission of the ANC, Hermann Escarrá, as reports the Judiciary Power in a press release.

Izaguirre highlighted the work done by the Supreme Court with the Special Commission for the Constituent Work of the Judiciary, in which the contributions and proposals of the TSJ are exposed, with a view to the constituent process.

“The Permanent Constitutional Commission is part of this exchange and constant contribution that is made from the Judiciary, this in order to know the work being done in various judicial matters and know the case law issued by the different Chambers that should be taken into consideration in this process to strengthen the Magna Carta”, said Izaguirre, quoted by the Supreme Court in the note.

Escarrá will hold a round of meetings with the six halls that make up the court, so that each instance expresses its ideas to the ANC. On August 15 of last year, the Constituent Power ratified the authorities of the TSJ, in ordinary session, in which participated the president of the Judiciary Power, Maikel Moreno, who proposed a series of ideas aimed at strengthening the judiciary system of Venezuela .
