The US aims to paralyze the Venezuelan economy

Jesus Faría, constituent, assured on Tuesday that Venezuela has been attacked by imperialism in a brutal and planned way with the purpose of paralyzing the economy of the country:
“That is why (imperialism) attacks oil, because it is the main source of income of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela” and the implications of these attacks are economic and social”, said the economist, referring to the “shortage and deterioration of public services that are essential for the functioning of the country”.
“They want to provoke a social outbreak and for that reason they wonder how there has not been a great generalized protest in Venezuela despite the economic attacks. The answer is that Chavez has managed to consolidate a large base of resistance and those who are not Chavistas have shown civic and peace, because they do not want the country to keep being affected”, he said.
On the other hand, he stressed that within the three countries most affected by the United States are “Cuba, North Korea and now Iraq, since they have prohibited them from selling oil under the threat that whoever negotiates with them will be sanctioned, as happened in the case of Venezuela”.
According to Faría, the Venezuelan oil industry has not been able to grow, as it has had impediments when selling its oil because the US has intimidated the big oil corporations: “This is an absolute blockade to our oil industry”, he said.
The constituent stressed that the US administration has no moral to adjudge supposed plans to recover the economy of Venezuela, “because what they want is to deteriorate it in order to consolidate their goal of perpetrating a coup d’etat against President Nicolás Maduro.” The information was provided during his participation in the “Dando y Dando-Radio” (Taking and Giving-Radio) program, beoadcast by RNV’s Informative channel.
