President Maduro highlighted the work of the FANB for the defense and peace of the nation

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the role played by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) for the defense of peace in the country threatened by the violent plans of the right wing.

From the central courtyard of the Military Academy in Fort Tiuna, Caracas, the Head of State, in an act of transmitting command of 1,800 GNB troops; emphasized “The role of the Bolivarian National Guard is central in the defense of peace and in the task of winning peace every day, so that no one lowers their guard”.

He urged the members of the GNB to strengthen every day more the civic-military union to consolidate peace. “We have to defend peace and conquer peace every day because we are a country in Revolution and nothing and nobody is going to prevent Venezuelans from making the political, economic, cultural, and social transformations that are guaranteed in the Constitution and that determine the sovereignty and national will”.

The National Head of State advanced. “The Bolivarian National Guard must flourish in its discipline, in its unity of command, in its morality, in its ethics. The Bolivarian National Guard must re-green in its union with the people, through the People’s Guard. Every day the Bolivarian National Guard must flourish in the protection of peace”.

In this regard, he reiterated his commitment to this military corps and urged the GNB to become one of the “exemplary components in the defense of peace”.

In this regard, he thanked the work carried out by General Sergio Rivero Marcano, who was acting as General Commander of the GNB, and who will now perform duties as inspector general of this component.
