Extend suspension of air and sea traffic with Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire

This Tuesday was extended the measure of temporary closure of the communication routes -both by air and sea- with Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire, as well as the suspension of commercial exchange operations, until the plan to combat mafias is defined.

The information was disclosed by the Vice President of the Republic, Tareck El Aissami, on his Twitter account @TareckPSUV, giving continuity to the measure initially adopted on January 5 in response to the smuggling of basic products, minerals and strategic materials for the nation.

He reiterated: “There will not be allowed further attacks from these criminal organizations”, so the cease of the suspension measure will take place once the high-level meeting with the authorities of the islands is held.

The Vice President of the Republic exhorted the authorities of the Dutch Antillean Islands to act “to stop these mafias that disturb the historical relationship with these brotherly peoples of the Caribbean”.
