Arreaza: Portugal is called to participate in the promotion of the Venezuelan economic system

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Government, Jorge Arreaza, extended this Monday the invitation to the Government of Portugal, to participate in the new economic and productive system promoted by the Bolivarian Government, during the installation of the 11th Venezuela-Portugal Follow-up Commission.

“Venezuela is moving forward with the Petro (srypto-currency), which will have its sustenance in oil, in our mineral wealth, we are in a process of innovation and Portugal is called to invest and participate in the new economic processes”, he said.

From the Yellow House “Antonio José de Sucre”, seat of the Venezuelan Diplomacy headquarters, said that as Commander Chávez said: “Portugal will feel the impact of these policies (…) Hopefully we can give good news to the peoples of Venezuela and Portugal, we have a great history of diplomatic, political and economic relations and we will deepen them from this meeting”.

He stressed that the European nation has granted Venezuela important financial cooperation. “Before the international economic siege to Venezuela, we have found in Portugal an important way to continue fulfilling our commitments”.

He especially invited Portuguese entrepreneurs to invest in the country, guaranteeing the security required for the investment, with the aim of boosting national production and not importing.

“In any part of Venezuela, Portugal is present through its people, especially because of their capacity to work, which is committed to Venezuela, they want the country and they feel like they were born here”, he said.

The Minister explained that for the past 10 years, have been executed 189 agreements and 22 projects are currently underway, plus those that come out of this meeting.

He also reported that his counterpart from Portugal, Augusto Santos Silva, has proposed to promote the pharmaceutical engine through the national production of medicines.
