The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, denounced on Friday that the country is the victim of the uncontrollable drug trafficking of Colombia sponsored by Juan Manuel Santos.
«Venezuela is a victim of drug trafficking in Colombia, Venezuela is the victim of Juan Manuel Santos, who does not control drug trafficking in his country and exports the drug and the crops to Venezuela; we are victims of Juan Manuel Santos and the Colombian oligarchy that lives off the resources that drug trafficking provides», said the National President during the re-launching of the Great Mission Socialist Justice.
He indicated that during the years in which oil prices fell, in Colombia the production of cocaine increased by 40%. «Juan Manuel Santos should answer to the UN and the world, why he has allowed, during his Government, the increase in the production of cocaine», he said.
«We who are victims have to react with force, angry in combat, to continue guaranteeing Venezuela as a territory free of production and export of drugs», he exhorted.
In this regard, the Head of State stressed that thanks to the Francisco de Miranda and Antonio José de Sucre satellites, Venezuela does not depend on anyone to monitor its borders and detect territories with illicit plantations.
In this regard, he invited the President of the United States, Donald Trump, to work together to put an end to drug trafficking.
«If you sincerely want to fight the drug trafficking that has destroyed the American youth, and which plagues the US market with drugs from Colombia, in me you have an ally, let’s ally, let’s join forces,» he said.
He also pointed out that if Colombia wanted the advice and technical and military support of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, «we are at war to combat drug trafficking in Colombia.»
