FANB ratifies Nicolás Maduro as Commander in Chief

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) ratified Nicolás Maduro on Thursday as Commander in Chief, after being sworn in by the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) as President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for the period 2019 – 2025.
The act of ratification was held at the Military Academy of Venezuela in Fort Tiuna, Caracas, where President Maduro thanked the loyalty of the Venezuelan soldiers who swore to be faithful to the Bolivarian ideals, to fight in civic-military union, to honor the Constitution and obey the mandate of the people.
«My Commander in Chief, the National Armed Forces reiterates its indefectible Bolivarian, anti-imperialist and anti-oligarchic character. For that reason, in martial formation, the troops with arms of the Bolivarian Army, the Bolivarian Navy, the Bolivarian Military Aviation, the Bolivarian National Guard and the Bolivarian Militia (…) we accept without hesitation your only command and indisputable leadership, to direct the destinies of the country in the next six years, and we acknowledge you as our Commander in Chief! «, says the Armed Forces in a statement released by the Ministry of Defense.

Manifest of reaffirmation of loyalty, recognition as Commander in Chief and oath by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, to the citizen Nicolás Maduro Moros, constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for the 2019 – 2025 term.
«Noble and brave Venezuelan people!
The libertarian traditions of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela go back to our indigenous ancestors, in their struggles against the invaders, who for more than 500 years, undertook the devastation of these lands in search of riches to fill the voracious ambition of the monarchs of the time.
Then, as a providential design, would come the Liberator Simón Bolívar, who after a bloody war of more than a decade, managed to consolidate the independence, not only for Venezuela, but also for Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Panama, becoming the true founding Father of the nascent republics.
The same architect of American freedom in his vision of statesman, pointed, in a fragment of the letter sent to the deputies of the congress of Peru, on April 27, 1826, the following: (quote): «Nothing is so agreeable with popular doctrines such as consulting the nation en masse on the capital points on which the states are founded, the fundamental laws and the supreme magistrate. All individuals are subject to error or seduction, but not the people, who possess in an eminent degree the awareness of their good and the measure of their independence … I have irrefutable proof of the people’s wisdom in the great resolutions, and that is why is that I have always preferred his opinions to those of the wise. » (End of quote).
Thus, on May 20, 2018, after convening the Originary Power that resides in the National Constituent Assembly, the Venezuelan people, in legitimate exercise of their sovereignty, through the consecrated right of suffrage, with the support of the vast majority of the voters, elected citizen Nicolás Maduro Moros as its president for the period 2019-2025.
Consequently, according to what is contemplated in our Constitution, we concur to this act of reaffirmation of loyalty, recognition and oath, which has implicit an unfathomable philosophical content, since in this solemn scenario, are manifested the fundamental bases on which the military organization rests, as are discipline, obedience and subordination, also externalizing the respect and vocation that we have always had for democracy.
My Commander in Chief, the National Armed Forces reiterates its indefinable Bolivarian, anti-imperialist and anti-oligarchic character. Therefore, in martial formation, the troops with arms of the Bolivarian Army, the Bolivarian Navy, the Bolivarian Military Aviation, the Bolivarian National Guard and the Bolivarian Militia; also deployed in the eight Strategic Integral Defense Regions: Capital, Central, Occidental, Los Andes, Los Llanos, Oriental, Guayana and Maritime Insular; we accept without hesitation your only command and indisputable leadership, to direct the destinies of the country in the next six years, and we acknowledge you as our Commander in Chief!
Bolivarian National Armed Forces: Do you swear!; Before God and the Fatherland, in the presence of the flag, of the public powers and of the Venezuelan people:
    To ratify the commitment of fidelity to the sublime ideals of the liberator Simón Bolívar, taken up by the supreme Commander of the Bolivarian revolution, Hugo Chávez Frías;
To fight in perfect civic-military union to defend the social guarantees and the Venezuelan nation against the imperial aggressions, consolidating their freedom, their peace, their sovereignty and independence;
    To honor the sacred oath of defending the homeland, its constitution, its laws and its institutions, until losing your life if necessary;
    To obey the sacred popular mandate expressed on May 20, 2018, in free, universal, direct and secret elections;
    To reaffirm the loyalty and absolute subordination to the citizen Nicolás Maduro Moros, as Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, your Commander in Chief, for the 2019-2025 term!
