ANC approved Law of the Southern Agro-Alimentary Consortium

The National Constituent Assembly (ANC) approved during the session of this Tuesday the Law of the Agro-Alimentary Consortium of the South (AGROSUR) that will group all the productive companies of the country in this matter.

The chairwoman of the ANC, Delcy Rodríguez, ordered the creation of a schedule to establish meetings with all the sectors involved in this law.

“I am going to instruct that the law be sent to the style committee prior to its publication and also establish a schedule of meetings with the different sectors involved in this law so that, in front of this National Assembly, they will be committed to respecting and complying with the law that has been approved here”, she said.

Earlier, the Vice President for the Economic Area, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, explained that the Law of the Agrosur Consortium seeks the articulation and strengthening of the Agro-Alimentary and Agro-Productive sector to boost the economic development of the country.

In addition, said that this bill, proposed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro in September, also seeks to break the international blockade against Venezuela to acquire materials, equipment and supplies aimed at strengthening a new production model.
