Civic-military union is the master weapon of the Bolivarian Revolution

“The master weapon of the Bolivarian Revolution – a legacy of Commander Chavez- is the civic-military union, the joint in the militia of a patriotic people who are willing to fight and defend the homeland.”

This was stated on Tuesday night, by the Major General Jesús Suárez Chourio, General Commander of the Army, while participating in a special program broadcast by RNV Informative channel, in which he referred to the full professionalization of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) with the inclusion of the troops and the common citizen.

“What the enemies of the Revolution fear the most is the popular character of the FANB” said the highest military official after explaining details about the opportunity for men and women in the country to make a career in the Army.

Suárez Chourio explained that in the past used to be that the enlisted troops came for a short period of time (a maximum of two years), they they were licensed and passed to the reserve, now they have the opportunity to make a lifelong career within the FANB.

“We are launching a campaign to attract Venezuelans who want to come to provide continuous and professional service to their Army and to their FANB. We are hoping to recruit 16,000 men and women who have some proficiency so that within a period of not more than 10 months they become professionals within the Force”, he said.

The Commander General stressed that those interested in being part of the human talent that is integrated into the territorial defensive system will have a profession, social and family stability, can exercise their specialty with a salary and social benefits.

“In the last two months we have been complying with an admission process that has received a massive response from the population. The invitation to those interested is that they go to the military unit closest to their home”.
