President Maduro: FANB should not allow provocations on Colombian-Venezuelan border

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and Commander-in-Chief of the FANB, Nicolás Maduro, ordered the military forces to fully comply with all orders, laws and military regulations on the Colombian-Venezuelan border.

“We must not allow a single provocation nor create conditions for them to mount a false positive anywhere on the border … we must be in a permanent review”, he instructed.

From Miraflores Palace, in a preparatory meeting of the Bolivarian Sovereignty 2017 civilian-military exercises, the Head of State assured that the US Government is studying different options for a military intervention.

“The United States is talking about a military invasion of Venezuela, it is planning several options. I do not think it’s a classic invasion on that the US aircraft carriers are coming, stand on our shores and the military ships come and go down as in Normandy, a landing, it would go very bad for them, I do not think that is the scheme”, he said.

He added that he supposes that the option is to create a set of provocations in the military field, as stated by the CEO-FANB, adding that the former were already announced by the US ambassador in colombia.

He reiterated the order to protect the entire border, and urged the people to take up this task together with the FANB and added that no provocation or conditions can be allowed to execute a false positive at any point on the border line.
