Historical! More than 8 million Venezuelans endorsed the National Constituent Assembly

The president of the National Electoral Council, Tibisay Lucena, announced that 41.53% of the electoral roll exercised their right to vote in the elections of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), which means 8,089,320 voting men and women.

“An extraordinary election, an extraordinary participation,” said the President of the Electoral Power while delivering the first bulletin on the results of the election to choose representatives to the National Constituent Assembly.

According to the bulletin, Cilia Flores, Delcy Rodriguez, Iris Varela, Jesus Faria, Juan Carlos Alemán, Luis Durán Gamboa and Angelo Rivas are constituents by Capital District.

In the case of capitals by state, Ricardo Molina and Roque Valero Pérez were elected by the Girardot municipality of Aragua state; Aristóbulo Istúriz and Nigel Barrolleta by the Bolivar municipality of Anzoátegui state; Ricardo Molina and Roque Valero by the Girardot municipality of Aragua, state; Willy Casanova and Fidel Madroñero for Maracaibo, Zulia state; Erika Farías and Jorge Pérez by the Anzoátegui municipality of Cojedes state.

She recalled that the indigenous peoples will vote on Tuesday, August 1st.

She congratulated the participation of the people, as well as the workers of CNE and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces. “There were many things we had to do, there were a lot of threats, even today, Peace won”, She said.

Lucena pointed out that in the mega contingency center in Caracas, located in the Poliedro de Caracas, some voters who were not from the city, nor from the corresponding state, about 1,500 people, signed as an expression of civism, she stressed that some tendencies are still reversible due to the vote number closeness between candidates.
