The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, asserted that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) is a school and showcase of loyalty, bravery and courage.
«You, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, are a school and a showcase of loyalty, of bravery and courage … in the face of threats, lies the praise of those who hate our people, and our FANB. (…) You carry in your hand the sacred flame of a heroic history of more than 500 years, and I know that you are up to take it in any circumstance», he said.
During the act of military ascent of the personnel assigned to the Presidential Honor Guard, held in Fort Tiuna, President Maduro congratulated all the officers promoted who were present on the premises.
«I want to ratify the personal congratulations to each of the members of the Guard of Honor who have ascended to the next higher level for their effort, merit, commitment, but above all for their loyalty.»
The Head of State on Thursday urged the military to strengthen the legacy and morale of the Commander and leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez.
«We must worship the idea, the courage to the morals left to us by Commander Hugo Chavez, and if something has left Commander Hugo Chavez to us, it is the value of loyalty to every test», he said.
