Meet the new members of the Ministerial Team


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, made new changes to his Government Team during the 275th Council of Ministers held in Miraflores Palace.

Major General Carlos Osorio was appointed this Wednesday as Minister of People’s Power for the Office of the President, replacing Carmén Meléndez, who is a candidate for the National Constituent Assembly.

Néstor Ovalles was appointed this Wednesday as the new Minister of People’s Power for Labor, replacing Francisco Torrealba, who is a candidate for the ANC.

Likewise, President Nicolas Maduro appointed Samuel Moncada as the new Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, who will relieve Delcy Rodriguez, also a candidate for the ANC. The National President acknowledged the work of Rodríguez as Chancellor, after winning numerous victories for the country before the imperialist onslaught organized in the OAS, in order to attempt a military intervention against Venezuela.

The Head of State then proceeded to swearing in the new members of the Ministerial Team that will also be made up of the already designated Major General Juan de Jesus Garcia Tusen, as new Minister of People’s Power for Transport, and Admiral Orlando Maneiro, as new Minister of People’s Power for Fishing and Aquaculture.

For his part, the Vice Presidency of Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace will be assumed by the Minister of People’s Power for Defense, General-in-Chief Vladímir Padrino López; The Vice Presidency of Public Works and Services will be exercised by Major General Luis Motta Domínguez.

During the designations, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro delegated this Wednesday to General Antonio Benavides Torres as the new Head of Government of the Capital District, replacing Carolina Cestari, who will assume the Commission for Presidential Projects for the city of Caracas, in substitution of Captain Juan Escalona, and also the Vice-Ministry of People’s Power for the Supreme Happiness, that was occupied until now by Gladys Requena.
