The Minister of People’s Power for Communication and Information, Ernesto Villegas, said that sectors of the Venezuelan right wing seek to create an opinion matrix that, following the script of the OAS Secretary General, Luis Almagro, intends to make the world believe the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, is responsible for the deaths that have occurred in the last months, with the aim of overthrowing him.
On Monday, during his participation in the “Vladimir a la Una” (Vladimir at 1) program, broadcast by the private TV station Globovisión, Villegas said: “Whether they are killed by officials … or planted agents of violence, as they have already done (in the past), these are deaths of Almagro, they respond to Almagro’s script”.
“We can confirm that there is an opinion matrix that wants to make believe that the deaths from the violence of the last months are the responsibility of Maduro, therefore it is necessary to put him on trial for crimes against humanity and overthrow him, that is the script of Almagro”, he added.
The Head of the Communication portfolio took the opportunity to offer some of the balance of the journalistic investigation he has headed, where are tried to approach in detail the facts that have surrounded the deaths resulting from the violence unleashed by the Venezuelan right wing.
“Our records give us 80 dead, there are institutions that handle other figures … we take part of the balance that the Public Ministry offers us and we have compiled other data through information and social networks”, detailed Villegas.
