Psuv condemns violent attitude promoted by the opposition

The National leader of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Héctor Rodríguez, rejected on Monday the violent, terrorist and fascist actions that opposition leaders are carrying out by this excessive thirst for power, affecting the Venezuelan people.

“We call for reflection for a country that mostly wants peace, regardless of the political position do not want violence, do not want war, do not want fascism as a way of doing politics,” he said during a press conference.

He lamented the latest actions of persecution that has been unleashed abroad against Venezuelans and pointed out that they are fascist actions “in the best Nazi style by those who think different from you, by whoever is different from you.”

“Imagine for a second if they had the political power, they would act as they acted in the 90s or in 2002. It is a lie that this violent and fascist attitude of closing the streets to Venezuelans, to persecute the Venezuelans, is a product of circumstances. It is the nature of the Venezuelan opposition (…) therefore it is not a product of greater or smaller elections or an economic situation, it is part of the terrorist and fascist behavior that the Venezuelan right wing has”, he said.

He reiterated the call for reflection by the Venezuelan opposition and highlighted the actions of the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, to achieve the peace and stability of the country by convening the National Constituent Assembly.

“You propose to slit and the president and the people propose to dialogue, to debate for peace, to build a future of peace for our sons and daughters,” he said.
