During the meeting with the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP), a body that will ensure house-by-house distribution of foodstuffs, the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, reported on the dismantling of an alleged network that falsified medical recipes under the 0800-SALUD YA («Health YNow») system.
«They were falsifying recipes and stealing medicines to ‘bachaquearlas’ (reselling at higher prices) on the streets. What do you call that? It’s a betrayal of trust, that’s like a knife blow, because one gives them all the confidence. And we created the 0-800 SALUD YA service so anyone who needs it is not jumping everywhere (to find medicines) but only has to make a phone call», said the President.
He said that the system will pass, in due time, to the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP).
