From Vargas State, the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, led the installation of the first Assembly of Local Supply and Production Committees, with a view to overcoming the economic war being lived today in the country.
“This is the path of Venezuela, oil profiteering is over, the imported, the gifted thing is over (…) Let’s work, to produce wealth with our hands,” said the Head of State on his arrival to the Catia La Mar sector.
The committees are included in the new distribution method designed by the Ministry of Alimentation to bring to the households the staple items, in order to ensure the foodstuffs and at the same time confront the mafias of extraction smuggling of priority products such as cornmeal flour to make arepas, edible oil, rice, pasta, powdered milk, beans, sugar and coffee.
The National Chief arrived in the company of the First Fighter Woman, Cilia Flores, the Vice President of the Republic, Aristobulo Isturiz, and the Governor of Vargas State, Jorge Luis Garcia Carneiro, among other representatives of the Executive power.
