The First Vice-President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), Diosdado Cabello, reported on Wednesday that the new penitentiary system is already implemented in 98% of the male detainment centers, and in 100% of the country’s female penitentiary annexes.
He noted that the centers of attention for adolescents are 100% activated. In addition, he emphasized that since last year there is a technological system called Control Room, where can be monitored each one of the processed people.
He pointed out that there is the Massification Plan “Llegó Maita” (Mom arrived), where are involved the mothers of the prisoners, and also noted that thanks to the “Cayapa” Plan, more than 107,000 legal services have been carried out throughout the country.
On the Sowing and Breeding Plan, he emphasized that it has enabled to train and motivate the inmates into some activity. The information was provided during the broadcast of his program “Con El Mazo Dando” (Hitting with the Hammer), broadcast from the Uribana prison, in Lara state.
