The Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, greeted this Wednesday the Agreement by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) which determined in Vienna the first cut in crude oil production since 2008.
Through her account in the Twitter social network, the Minister wrote that the historic Agreement of the OPEC claims the efforts deployed by President Nicolás Maduro in defense of oil prices.
“The OPEC has given a historical lesson in understanding for the sake of the balance of the world’s economy and the defense of our strategic resources”.
In another message, she expressed the country’s feeling of belonging to OPEC and sharing common policies in defense of strategic energy resources.
For his part, the Minister for Petroleum, Eulogio del Pino, also used the social network to highlight “The achievement of the Bolivarian Revolution, which with President Nicolás Maduro never gave up in defense of the prices of oil.”
“We have settled historic agreement in the #OPEP in line with a preliminary agreement reached in Algeria, we have met what was expected”, he wrote.
He pointed out that this day is the result of the great work journey of Venezuela in defense of the fair price of oil.
