COVID: Venezuela registers 1,464 community cases and recovery rate remains at 92%

This Wednesday Venezuela registered a total of 1,464 cases of community transmission of Covid-19 detected in the last 24 hours by the country’s health authorities, while the recovery rate remains at 92 percent of the total cases with 226,548 recovered patients.

The information was made known by the sectoral vice president for Communication, Tourism and Culture, Freddy Ñáñez, through the account on the Twitter social network @luchaalmada, during the daily balance offered by the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of Covid -19.

The cases of community transmission were registered (by state) in: Barinas (314), Anzoátegui (188), Yaracuy (140), Apure (129), Sucre (121), Lara (87), Caracas (79), Bolívar (77), Mérida (72), Zulia (70), La Guaira (65), Miranda (59), Portuguesa (15), Carabobo (11), Monagas (11), among other states.

Barinas state was today the entity with the highest number of infections with 314 cases in its 12 municipalities: Barinas (159), Antonio José de Sucre (58), Pedraza (22), Alberto Arvelo Torrealba (19), Bolívar (17), Rojas (16), Andrés Eloy Blanco (8), Obispo (5), Sosa (3), Cruz Paredes (3), Arismendi (1) and Ezequiel Zamora (1).

Likewise, the senior official also released the unfortunate news of the death of 14 new victims, to reach (a death toll of) 2,764:

– 3 women, 81,77 and 63 years old, and a man, 57 years old from Anzoátegui statement

A 73-year-old man from Carabobo state

– A 84-year-old woman from Miranda state

A 64-year-old woman from Nueva Esparta state

– 2 men, 74 and 69 years old, and a 71 years old woman in Portuguesa state

– A 43-year-old man from Apure state

– A 81-year-old woman and 2 59-year-old men from La Guaira state.
