Venezuela congratulates Antigua and Barbuda for their 35 years of independence


The Bolivarian Government congratulated the people of Antigua and Barbuda for their 35 years of independence, also he expressed his commitment to continue strengthening their relations based on union, complementarity and integration of the Caribbean.

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Venezuelan Government and the people expressed his fraternal and cordial congratulations to the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Brown, to his Government and his people, on the occasion of the 35 years of their independence under the slogan “Together Building an Economic Power”.
It is necessary to remember and pay tribute to the great independence leader of that sisterly Caribbean Nation, Sir Vere Cornwall Bird, known for his unwavering patriotism, dedication and struggle for securing working conditions and fair wages for all Antiguans, especially of the lower classes and against colonial landowners.
Venezuela and Antigua and Barbuda we walk together on the values of the Bolivarian Big Caribbean Homeland driven by Commander Hugo Chavez Frias, and materialized in the ALBA-TCP, Petrocaribe and CELAC, that bring us together as brotherly peoples.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses the most sincere words of friendship and solidarity, as well as our commitment to continue strengthening our relations based on union, complementarity and integration of the Caribbean, together with our best wishes for success in building a future equality and dignity for its people.
