More than 3 million medicines will arrive in the country next week


Carlos Rotondaro, President of the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security (IVSS) announced on Monday that more than 3 million medicines will arrive in the country next week, distributed in 98 different units.
“Communications have already been established with the different trans-national laboratories in order for these drugs to arrive to the country”, he said.
In this regard, he enhanced that with the arrival of drugs to the country’s ports, will be increased the distribution capacity of more than 80,000 daily average medications, which are distributed to more than 119,000 Venezuelan patients who require them.
After meeting with the Vice-Presidency of the Republic, the Vice Presidency of the Social and Economic Area at the Miraflores Palace in Caracas, Rotondaro said it is being guaranteed the treatment of patients with stage five chronic renal failure, which will allow the attention of more than 13,000 people who monthly and daily need dialysis treatment in hospital units of the National Public Health System.
Finally, he stated that with this plan of action in the Pharmacist Motor, “the Bolivarian Government takes action to ensure the health and distribution of drugs throughout the public health network.”
