Chancellor Delcy Rodriguez and Ernesto Samper traveled to Suriname to meet situation in that country


Under the figure of the pro-tempore presidency of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR), the Venezuelan Chancellor Delcy Rodríguez, and the secretary-general, Ernesto Samper , traveled to Suriname to meet with the president of that nation, Desi Bouterse, in order to address the situation in that Latin American country.

“We attended invitation to UNASUR of President of Suriname, Desi Bouterse. We attended as pro-tempore presidency, along with the Secretary General of the Union, Ernesto Samper.
We share information on institutional development that could affect the political, economic and social stability of their country.
We held several meetings with President Bouterse, his cabinet ministers and former foreign ministers. We will report in the coming days to the countries of UNASUR on the development of the situation in this brotherly country. “
