Within the framework of the National Popular Government System Review held this Monday, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, officially proclaimed the birth of the Communal Government of Transition to Socialism, a new phase that consolidates the structure of the People’s Power.
The Head of State declared that, from this moment on, the 5,336 Self-Government Halls existing in the national territory constitute the core of this transitional government:
«These are 5,336 territorial governments where neighbors, families, and communities, with their concrete strengths, debate, participate, act, build, and transform their territories into visible spaces for a new society,» he emphasized.
As part of this historic announcement, President Maduro issued strategic guidelines for the Political Bureau of the Revolution, with the central objective of empowering the people even further.
Among these guidelines, he especially highlighted the sixth line, corresponding to Training and Communication.
In this regard, the National President called for expanding and strengthening training and communication processes in all communities.
To achieve this goal, he demanded a stronger and more dynamic articulation with the University of the Communes, a center for studies on the People’s Power that was launched last May.
«From the Self-Government Councils must emerge a solid communication apparatus to defend the truth of Venezuela,» asserted President Maduro. And he detailed: «We must achieve communication strength throughout the country to defend the truth of our Homeland, with a powerful team in the 5,336 Self-Government Councils. This is a master guideline.»
This measure seeks to transform each Self-Government Hall into an epicenter not only of territorial management, but also of training and communication production, generating content and training from the grassroots of the People’s Power to counteract the media war and project the construction of communal socialism.
With this action, the Bolivarian Government reaffirms its commitment to deepening the model of participatory and protagonist democracy, transiting towards a new geometry of power where the organized community is the main actor in the social and economic transformation of the nation.
