The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that the Venezuelan people are united in devotion to venerate the Virgin of Chiquinquirá.
On his accounts on social media, the Head of State referred to this religious celebration as a moment of faith, hope, and spiritual strength for the nation:
«Maracaibo and the whole Venezuela unite in the same devotion, with faith and love, to venerate the Virgin of Chiquinquirá,» affirmed the National Dignitary.
He emphasized that as a faithful devotee he joins the fervor of the Christian people who receive spiritual inspiration from their Patroness.
In this regard, he noted: «Our beloved Chinita reminds us that humility and love are the true strength to face adversity.»
As a way of reflection, he characterized this date as a moment that brings people together in prayer and recognizes the maternal presence of the Virgin.
Every November 18th, the faithful devout honor Our Lady of Chiquinquirá through religious ceremonies, processions, and cultural expressions throughout the country.
This celebration, originating in Zulia state, is a manifestation of Venezuelan cultural heritage.
President Maduro also offered prayers for the Virgin’s sacred mantle to intercede for Venezuela and bestow the grace of unity and prosperity upon every family.
Our Lady of Chiquinquirá, affectionately known as «La Chinita,» represents a symbol of faith and cultural identity for the people of Zulia and Venezuela.
Devotion to «La Chinita» transcends the religious sphere to become an expression of national unity.
In this way, this religious tradition strengthens the bonds of brotherhood among Venezuelans and preserves ancestral cultural expressions.
The celebration keeps alive the spiritual legacy that characterizes the Venezuelan people.
