The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, convened for a national journey of prayer for this Tuesday, November 18, at 6:00 pm, in spiritual union with Christian brothers and sisters from churches in the United States.
The central objective is to entrust the peace of Venezuela to God and overcome the military threats that—as the President specified—loom from the United States.
The announcement was made during the “Digital Zone” segment of his “Con Maduro+” program, where he extended an invitation to all Catholic, Evangelical, and Christian churches in the country to join this joint prayer initiative:
“You unite in prayer, I will join you as well, and I call on all churches to unite with the churches of the U.S. in prayer, a powerful force to overcome this situation where we want peace to continue to prevail,” expressed the Head of State.
During his address, President Maduro read excerpts from a letter sent by a renowned American pastor, which expresses deep concern about the threats emanating from the United States government.
The letter emphasizes as its central purpose “that Christ takes absolute control of this situation and not allow any American soldier, neither today nor ever, to fire a single shot at the people of Venezuela.”
Likewise, the President reiterated his government’s willingness to engage in dialogue, stating: “Whoever wants to engage in dialogue will always find in us people of their word, decent and with the experience to lead Venezuela.”
He underscored that, thanks to the truth, a great movement of public opinion is growing in the United States that firmly rejects the aggression against Venezuela.
This journey of prayer is presented as an act of faith and civic diplomacy, seeking divine protection for the South American nation and promoting a peaceful solution to the current geopolitical situation.
