President Maduro approves and signs Law of the Commando for the Integral Defense of the Nation

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, signed and enacted the Law of Creation of the Commands for Integral Defense. From the Peru Hall of Miraflores Palace, the president ordered the immediate activation of these structures throughout the national territory starting at the dawn of this November 12:

“From this moment on, with the signing of this Law, must be activated in the early hours of this morning all the Commands of Integral Defense, which bring together all the public institutions of the Venezuelan State, the military, and all of the People’s Power. Upon signing, the order must be activated for the commands of integral defense to be established, structured, and begin their work to be prepared (…) Thus I proceed to sign and implement the law creating the comprehensive defense commands at the national level,” expressed President Maduro.

The head of state explained that this law represents the development of Venezuelan doctrine for the preservation of peace. The measure constitutes a response to what he described as “14 weeks of imperial madness” and a “permanent and failed psychological war” against the country.

This new organizational structure consolidates a framework that integrates all the public institutions of the State, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), and the People’s Power. The architecture of the commands encompasses all three levels of government: national, state, and municipal, creating a unified defense network.

The central objective of these commands is the integral preparedness of the nation against any type of threat, whether armed or unarmed. The President emphasized the Venezuelan people’s readiness to defend, even through armed struggle if necessary, «this sacred heritage of the liberators.»

The activation of these commands is part of a broader defense strategy that includes sustained popular resistance and a permanent joint military-police-popular offensive. This initiative mobilizes more than eight million people throughout the country, merging popular, military, and police capabilities.

With this action, the Venezuelan government reaffirms that its primary objective is the preservation of national peace. The Comprehensive Defense Commands represent the materialization of a unique strategic concept to guarantee sovereignty in the face of external aggression.
