The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, declared the success of Operation Independence 200 after achieving its objectives in all regions where it was activated. The Head of State provided a preliminary assessment of the operations carried out on October 14 and 15 through an audiovisual presentation published on his official channel on Telegram.
The National Leader highlighted the integral complying with the 27 Integral Defense tasks that were programmed, with special mention to the results obtained on the Caribbean coast of Venezuelan territory. President Nicolás Maduro emphasized that, despite adverse weather conditions, the military exercises were carried out without interruption in Caracas and in Miranda state.
The Constitutional President emphasized that the joint force, composed of popular, military, and police components, remains operational throughout the national territory. The Head of State recognized the high morale with which the Venezuelan military carried out homeland defense activities, overcoming any obstacle during their execution.
Operation Independence 200 began its activation phase on October 8 with the implementation of the Directing Bodies for the Integral Defense of the Nation (ODDI). The device was specifically designed to safeguard the Integral Defense Zones (ZODI) established in Venezuelan territory.
The President affirmed that these exercises are progressively consolidating peace in the national territory. The operation represents a coordinated effort that demonstrates the responsiveness of Venezuelan institutions in the face of potential threats to national sovereignty.
