The Venezuelan ambassador to the Russian Federation, Jesús Salazar Velásquez, confirmed the holding of the Russia-Venezuela Business Council on October 28 in Caracas. The event will feature the in-person participation of more than 50 business leaders from both countries, in addition to between 100 and 150 additional attendees who will connect via videoconference.
The Venezuelan diplomat emphasized that technical and military cooperation between the two nations remains under constant development, in accordance with the bilateral agreements established since the beginning of this century. These areas of collaboration are an integral part of the agreements signed in all areas of the strategic partnership.
In the energy sector, Ambassador Salazar Velásquez highlighted the progress made in collaboration for the exploration, exploitation, and marketing of oil. The official specified that five joint ventures currently operate in Venezuelan territory, which constitute concrete examples of bilateral cooperation in this strategic sector.
The strategic partnership between Venezuela and Russia was formalized through agreements signed by President Nicolás Maduro and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. These agreements aim to strengthen cooperation in priority sectors such as the economy, energy, mining, and other areas considered key to the development of both nations.
The Business Council represents a fundamental forum for strengthening economic and trade ties between Venezuela and Russia. The event will facilitate exchanges between representatives of the business sectors of both countries and promote new business opportunities within the framework of the bilateral strategic partnership.
