During a recent visit to the 31st Brigade of Mechanized Infantry «Brigade General Lucas Carvajal,» the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, addressed the members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) with a message laden with historical symbolism. The president used his channel on Telegram to share details of this military meeting.
During his speech, the Head of State made a direct connection between the current FANB and the legacy of the independence movement. He stated that today’s Venezuelan soldiers “carry the blood of the United Liberation Army,» thus equating their contemporary mission with the heroic deeds of the heroes who fought for the nation’s freedom.
The president highlighted the constant training of military personnel. In his digital message, he stated: «I greeted the entire personnel, who remain active and in constant preparation to defend our sacred right to peace.» With these words, he emphasized the role of the FANB as a guarantor of the country’s stability and sovereignty.
Beyond operational readiness, Maduro reminded the troops of their fundamental commitment. He emphasized their «responsibility to defend and protect the People and the Homeland,» reaffirming the doctrine that places the Armed Forces as a pillar at the service of the nation and its citizens.
The president also referred to the international information campaigns that, in his opinion, affect Venezuela. He characterized these actions as «crude, extravagant, and infamous,» signaling a stance of rejection of what he considers propaganda and disinformation emanating from foreign powers.
Facing this scenario, President Maduro showed forceful and optimistic. He reiterated that Venezuela «is in the fight for the truth» and affirmed that it will emerge from this battle «stronger, united, and with a greater combat and defense capacity.»
He concluded his message with a call for firmness and a proclamation of loyalty: «Let us earn respect as a Republic! Our commitment to the Homeland is more current and alive today than ever,» he concluded, sealing a speech that interweaves history, sovereignty, and a call for national unity in the face of external adversaries.
