Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez denounced the United States (US) government for insisting on maintaining a «grand farce» to justify an intervention in Venezuela. The senior official described these actions as lacking any legal basis or international cooperation.

These declarations come in response to international reactions following a joint naval operation between Venezuela and the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The military exercise took place in waters near the island of La Orchila, a strategic point in the Caribbean.

Rodríguez emphasized that the maneuver was carried out under a strict framework of bilateral cooperation and in accordance with all current international protocols. She emphasized that it was the result of diplomatic coordination that guaranteed its development in an orderly, transparent manner, and in conditions of mutual trust.

Through her official channel on Telegram, the vice president reiterated that Venezuela maintains constant surveillance of its coasts. She also noted that actions are being coordinated with other nations, under bilateral agreements, for the fight against drug trafficking.

The vice president emphasized that this operation responds to a policy of sovereign security. She strongly rejected attempts to distort its technical and legal nature through external narratives that only seek to justify pressure against Venezuela.

Finally, Rodríguez reaffirmed Venezuela’s commitment to defending its national sovereignty within the framework of international law and peace diplomacy. With these actions, the country demonstrates its operational capabilities and builds strategic alliances for regional stability.
