In response to the threats posed by the United States (US) government in the Caribbean, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, held a press conference this Monday, September 1, attended by 392 media representatives from all around the world to denounce the constant aggressions by the North American empire.
During the meeting with the international media, the president denounced that 8 US warships, 1,200 missiles, and a nuclear submarine are targeting Venezuelan territory: «Venezuela faces the greatest threat seen on the continent in the last 100 years,» he warned.
The head of state stated that in the face of such actions, Venezuela is fully prepared for its defense and citizen security in the regional context, in response to what he described as «an extravagant, unjustifiable, immoral, and absolutely criminal threat.» It is comparable only to the crisis of October 1962 (Cuban Missile Crisis) against Cuba.
