“The empire is trying to evade the truth and cover up the fact that they were caught red-handed, but nothing they do, now or in the future, will be able to obscure the fact that the Bolivarian Revolution is authentic, strong, and triumphant, just as Simón Bolívar once expressed,” stated this Friday the constitutional president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, from the Mirabal Commune in La Guaira.
During the launch of the “Venezuela Ríe” (Venezuela Laughs) 2025 Community Vacation Plan, the president recalled the letters that the Liberator Simón Bolívar wrote in 1818 to an arrogant US agent, in which he stated that Venezuela would not submit to any empire. These correspondence, compiled in the book «Free Peoples Defeat Powerful Empires,» will be republished on the president’s social media to spread the word about the independence struggle that consolidated the country as an anti-imperialist nation.
Maduro emphasized that, just like in the past, Venezuela has today a solid alliance between the people, the Armed Forces, and the police, which has neutralized terrorist attempts and established itself as a bulwark against the most powerful empire in the world: «Our triumph is based on unity, peace, and stability,» he emphasized.
