The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reaffirmed the fundamental role of the Federal Government Council (CFG) as a key instance for strengthening the mandate of the people. Through his accounts on social media, the president emphasized that this body represents a collegiate, democratic, and participatory government, designed to improve over time and work for the benefit of people’s power.
Maduro emphasized that the CFG has been an essential tool for improving public management capacities and fostering unity among the different levels of government: «We are holders of a sacred mandate to govern, resolve, and build an ever-better country,» he said, underscoring the importance of this body in the consolidation of the Venezuelan democracy.
During the installation of the Council, the president proposed revising the CFG Law to give greater weight to communes and communal districts. This step seeks to strengthen popular participation and advance the construction of a democratic homeland, in peace and prosperous, aligned with the principles of the Bolivarian Revolution.
In the act were also known the new authorities of the organization. Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez will assume the executive coordination, accompanied by Leonardo Montezuma as secretary. Also will participate ministers such as Jorge Márquez and Gabriela Jiménez, along with governors such as Víctor Clark (Falcón), Johana Carrillo (Sucre), and Alberto Galíndez (Cojedes), as well as mayors from different regions.
The CFG is thus consolidated as a co-governance mechanism that seeks to coordinate efforts between the national executive branch, governorships, and mayoralties. Its evolution reflects the Venezuelan state’s commitment to inclusion and territorial development, always in tune with the demands of the people.
With this renewal, Venezuela is making progress in deepening its participatory democracy, reaffirming that power resides in the people and that institutions like the CFG are vital to guaranteeing their voice and rights.
