«Of course we are in a world war, and the missiles do not stop to fall. The world war, which is the cognitive war for the management of emotions, thoughts, and the ways of being of the peoples of the world, is the most important war to win if we want peace, justice, and equality in this humanity that refuses to accept the egotism of empires and their military and economic threats,» as stated this Friday President Nicolás Maduro during the presentation of the 2025 Simón Bolívar National Prize of Journalism.
From the spaces of Miraflores Palace and accompanied by the award-winning communicators, the head of state called for unity to reject imperial impositions in pursuit of the sovereignty and truth of the people. He also indicated that information and critical awareness are essential tools for building a peaceful future in the current global landscape.
In the case of Venezuela, the National Dignatary emphasized that «we have given the people faith in their own country, (instead of) believing in false American dreams, because in the end those persecuted and stigmatized migrants, when they arrive to their own country discover that they have a homeland and that in here we are all family… We must make that Venezuela visible, to get to know each other better, and for the world to get to know the profound Venezuela that, just like the phoenix, rose from the ashes.»
During the event, President Maduro also honored the Correo del Orinoco media (founded by Liberator Simón Bolívar in 1818), highlighting its legacy in the artillery of thought and in the evolution of communications with the emergence of new tools and instruments that are key in the battle of ideas.
