On the International Day to Counter Hate Speech, the Government of Venezuela reaffirmed its commitment to equality, justice, and peace in the face of external aggressions that affect its sovereignty and its people.
Chancellor Yván Gil, in a message posted on Telegram, emphasized that the country promotes tolerance, respect, dialogue, and empathy, while resisting hostilities directed against the nation.
Gil denounced that Venezuela has been the target of hate speech promoted by the United States government and right-wing sectors, which materialize in unilateral coercive measures that impact the population, as well as in the persecution and imprisonment of Venezuelan migrants. The Chancellor emphasized the country’s determination to combat these attacks and defend its sovereignty, maintaining its commitment to peaceful coexistence.
