President Nicolás Maduro called on the peoples of the world to fight for peace and combat fascism at a time when the State of Israel launched an offensive against the people of Iran.

In a video published this Saturday on his account on Telegram, the president expressed his message: «The people are awakening in their consciousness because the world needs peace. From Venezuela we say: No to war, no to fascism, no to Nazism!»

In the video, which includes part of his statements broadcast this Friday from the Humboldt Hotel in Caracas, during the Workshop of the 7T for Transformative Action with governors and ministers, Maduro criticized the passive role of the United Nations in the face of Israel’s bombing of cities like Beirut, Lebanon, and Syria: «Every day they allow the bombing of the Arab people of Yemen, and now, now they’re also going to turn their backs.»

He also rejected the idea that the conflict in the Middle East is religious and emphasized that it has become «geopolitical» since the founding of the State of Israel “in order to conquer the region, seize its wealth, and colonize peoples, which is part of an expansionist Zionist project.»

«From Caracas, as a descendant of a Sephardic Jew, I tell to the people of Israel, a brotherly Jewish people, as a Christian and heir of a Sephardic Jew, I say to you: Stop Benjamin Netanyahu’s madness.

«Only the people of Israel can stop this madness,» urged the president, adding that neither missiles nor bombs will be able to subdue the will of the peoples of the world.

During a speech, Maduro reaffirmed Venezuela’s commitment to global peace: «From Venezuela we say it, and no one will prevent our voice from being heard here and there. The peoples of the world are awakening in their consciences because the world needs peace, harmony, and dialogue among civilizations,» he affirmed.
