President Nicolás Maduro urges renewal of political leadership based on criticism

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, called on the newly elected governors, his Executive Train and other national authorities to renew political leadership based on criticism and to consolidate the «fewer offices, more territories” motto.

During the workshop “7 Transformations for Transformative Action” that was held this Friday at the Waraira Repano in Caracas, the head of state asked the new regional governors to work on organizing and designing plans that are timely, scientific, and methodical, so that their application and/or execution guarantee social well-being.

«We have to build a collective leadership of debate. We cannot build uncritical, abnormal leaderships that cannot listen to criticism. We must build collective leadership of a social nature, engaging in dialogue with society,» emphasized the president.

In this regard, he indicated that dialogue must also be renewed, because «We cannot pretend to always repeat the same old rhetoric and talk about the same”.

On the other hand, President Maduro called for a renewal of the spirit in thinking, language, and methods: «The [work] teams must be made up of the best, the most loyal, the most capable (…) You must surround with apostles… with people who take on the role of public servant,» he stated.
