National Government advances in designing a production map with a focus on Non-Oil Exports

Vice President Delcy Rodríguez posted a video on her Telegram account this Thursday in which she reinforced the work of the Economic and Productive Cabinet in designing and supporting Venezuela’s production map with an non-oil, export-oriented vision.

In her message, she recalled moments from her tour of several communities in La Guaira this Wednesday, where, together with Governor José Alejandro Terán and the organized People’s Power, they reviewed some productive experiences emerging and managed by the state’s communities.

«It is a strategic objective, strategic import substitution to save foreign currency and, at the same time, generate foreign currency for the country through an export-oriented approach based on real productive activity and the Special Economic Zone,» she stated in the video posted on the social network.

In this regard, she recalled her visit to social production enterprises, such as a textile factory run by women from a community in the coastal state, as well as a community hardware store and a water treatment plant.

These ventures, Rodríguez emphasized, are part of the community economy, in which «surpluses are distributed and also go to the community bank, which provides financing for the community.»

The vice president also commented that this support oversees the progress of initiatives that contribute to the development of the La Guaira Special Economic Zone.

Thus, she emphasized, the National Government, in its partnership with the private sector, mentioned key projects in the state, such as a fish processing plant and an oil bottling plant, both for export.
